Douglas J. Alward, the escaped inmate from Sterling Correctional Facility was caught at 11:58am on Wednesday near Yuma Colorado.
Reports from the DOC, while limited, indicate he was caught in a corn field about 7 miles northwest of the town. Yuma is about 40 miles, "as the bird flies," from Sterling Correctional Facility.

Nebraska state health officials say eight people have tested positive for West Nile virus so far this yar. One of the cases was reported from Cheyenne County.
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services says the confirmed cases include men and woman ages 26 and older.
Panhandle Public Health District announced on Tuesday the discovery of a positive West Nile virus bird in the Panhandle. This month, the bird was found in Box Butte County.
