Coach Josh McDaniels isn't saying whether Tim Tebow is in or out when the Detroit Lions visit Invesco Field this weekend.  He missed practice for a second day in a row yesterday.

Tebow evidently suffered bruised ribs on the game's final play when Bengals linebacker Abdul Hodge blasted him on his left side as he scrambled into the end zone for a 7-yard TD and bowled over Kyries Hebert, leaving the safety woozy.

The Denver Broncos signed quarterback Kyle Orton to a one-year contract extension that will pay him roughly $9 million in 2011, a league source confirmed.

Even though the Broncos drafted Tim Tebow in the first round and traded for Brady Quinn, Orton remains the quarterback of the foreseeable future.

Orton is playing this season under a one-year, $2.621 million tender.

Worrell Williams is a 6-foot, 250-pound former California Redwoods player who was an honorable-mention All-Pac-10 selection at the University of California as a senior.

The Denver Broncos have signed former Detroit Lions defensive end Jason Hunter.

Hunter recorded five sacks and 34 tackles last year in nine starts with the Detroit Lions, who cut him this week after assigning him a $1.759 million second-round tender this offseason.
