22-year-old Jhoulys Chacin pitched 7 2/3 innings of 3-hit, shut-out ball and the Rockies got the one necessary run to take the final game in the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks 1-0 yesterday.
Chacin struck out 9 and Huston Street didn't blow a save, for once, allowing Dexter Fowler's RBI single in the 8th to be enough to get the win.
The Rockies return home tonight and start a series with the Atlanta Braves at 7.

The Denver Broncos lost their second preseason game 25-20 to the Detroit Lions on saturday night.
There was no Tim Tebow, who sat out with his bruised ribs, but it really doesn't matter if Tebow plays the way Kyle Orton is tossing the ball. Orto has a stranglehold on the starting QB position going 16-for-22 for 177 yards and 2 TDs in the game.
The Broncos next play the Steelers on Sunday night.

The 2010 Colorado Buffaloes have a starting quarterback - Tyler Hansen. The athletic junior from Murrieta, Calif., was informed of the coaches' decision early Friday afternoon by offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Eric Kiesau.
Hansen, who saw time under center last year after Cody Hawkins stumbled out of the gates, will be the one with QBs on his heels. Both Cody Hawkins and freshman Nick Hirschman will be nipping on his heels if he stumbles out of the gate.
