Monday marks the official beginning of postseason basketball for all classes. Lots of coverage is to be had on our network of stations. Here's a look at the action:

1A District IV (Boys)

Quarterfinal action kicked off on Monday, February 22 at Northeastern Junior College with coverage on 104.7 King FM.  Here are the first round results (in bracket order):

• 4:00pm - Peetz defeated Pawnee 69-55
• 5:30pm - Haxtun survived Weldon Valley 51-49
• 7:00pm - Fleming topped Briggsdale 50-43
• 8:30pm - Caliche thumped Prairie 72-55

Semifinal action will take place on Wednesday, February 24 at Northeastern Junior College with coverage on 104.7 King FM.  Here's the schedule:

• 4:00pm - Peetz defeated Haxtun 49-39
• 7:00pm - Caliche downed Fleming 56-43

Third place and championship action will take place on Saturday, February 27 at Northeastern Junior College with coverage on 104.7 King FM.  Here's the schedule:

• 4:00pm - Haxtun vs. Fleming (winner goes to Region)
• 7:00pm - Peetz vs. Caliche (winner is District champion)

The top three teams from this district move on to the regional basketball tournaments to be contested the week of March 1:

Action began with quarterfinal matchups from Northeastern Junior College on Tuesday, February 23.  Here's a recap of the results (in bracket order):

• 4:00pm - Pawnee defeated Peetz 64-41
• 5:30pm - Briggsdale topped Haxtun 54-40
• 7:00pm - Fleming downed Prairie 52-36
• 8:30pm - Caliche survived Weldon Valley 44-34

Semifinal action will take place on Wendesday, February 24 at Northeastern Junior College.  Coverage on 104.7 King FM will be as follows:

• 5:30pm - Briggsdale upset Pawnee 53-36
• 8:30pm - Fleming crushed Caliche 55-25

Championship and third place action will be held on Saturday, February 27 at Northeastern Junior College.  Coverage on 104.7 King FM will be as follows:

• 5:30pm - Pawnee vs. Caliche (winner goes to Region)
• 8:30pm - Briggsdale vs. Fleming (winner is District champion)

The top three teams from this district move on to the regional basketball tournaments to be contested the week of March 1:

• 7:30pm at Otis - Otis pounded Liberty 87-14

• 7:30pm - Wray topped Wiggins 54-41

Third Place and championship games were held at Northeastern Junior College on Friday, February 26.  104.7 King FM, in conjunction with KNEC 100.9, will be there to bring you all the action. Here's the results:

• 7:30pm - Holyoke held off Wray 44-40
