Week two of postseason basketball is upon us and the field of teams has been cut down by almost 2/3rds!
There are only 16 area teams still alive after last week's brutal district rounds. Even more teams will be eliminated this week as many of our area teams have to go through each other to get to state.
Here's a look at who's left in each of the four classifications, where and when they'll be playing and what games we'll be covering on our network of stations:
Class 1A
Fleming, Otis and Pawnee moved on from Districts IV and V on the girls side and will meet up in the Northern Region Tournament at Sterling High School on Saturday, March 5. Caliche, Idalia and Pawnee will join them for action on the boys side. Here's the schedule (with broadcast links in parenthases):

Class 2A
On the boys' side, Yuma, Wray, Wiggins and Akron moved on out of 2A's District II while the girls' side featured Akron, Sedgwick County and Holyoke. Class 3A
The Brush boys and girls basketball teams both qualified for the 3A State bracket based on their finishes in the Patriot League Tournament last week. They both finished 5th and both have to hit the road for their games this weekend:

Class 4A
The Sterling Tiger boys survived two home tests and made it to the Great 8 for the third year in a row. They'll travel to Lockridge Arena on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines for their game this weekend:
